Skills and Experience bringing products to market, leveraging early adoption of Agile, Scrum and “LEAN Start-up” methodologies like:
1) Implementing EDI and Supply Chain Management efficiencies as MIS Director, Royal Cathay Trading Company, Vacaville, CA. 1992~1995 for major retailer trading partnerships with Target, Macy’s and Victoria’s Secret resulting in over $4M sales
2) Product Manager at International Business Systems, 1995~2001 brought to market an integrated COTS web sell-side server tool that helped over 15 key customers like Roland USA, and J.A. Henckels to quickly launch a B2B web-sales and “real-time” transaction processor.
3) As VP Operations with Shari’s Berries, (www.Berries.com) brought over 100 gourmet food products to market. Most notable was the very challenging acquisition of “GotFruit.com” where over 60 new products were introduced in less than 90 days, just-in-time for Christmas 2008. Sourcing necessary components for gift basket configurations was one of the most challenging aspects, made easier with LEAN light manufacturing methodologies and an excellent BOM IT system.
4) As Lead Business Analyst with the California Department of State Hospitals, Lowell was the FIRST to utilize LEAN Start-up and Agile methodologies for the successful implementation of a (24/7/365) COTS Hospital Staffing system used by over 8,000 State Nurses and Psychiatric technicians working at the 5 California State Hospitals. Lowell received special recognition for his leadership and skills to implement a critical enhancement that resulted in over 25,000 vacation transactions being completed by empowered employees.
